Bambazonke is a Zimbabwean colloquialism meaning grab or hold everything and that is literally what the site does. I was engaged to create a multipurpose site that allows for the listing of events, classified adverts and business directory listings with a freemium basis (limited free listings with the ability to upgrade to paid for features).

Whilst at Hectic Interweb Magic, my current employer, I, together with my business partner, developed MotorSport.co.zw from concept to a popular online portal. Members of the motor sport fraternity needed a place for drivers, riders and racing fans to get all the latest events, news and results, upload photos and videos and find out more about motor sport in Zimbabwe. The website generates revenue from display advertisments.

THE BIG AFRICAN AIRSHOW 2014

I joined iClik Apple Authorised Reseller in its infancy and helped to develop the brand from inception to becoming the largest Apple reseller in Zimbabwe. I was required to use people skills and business smarts to create a retail environment that inspired both employees and customers. I was accountable for the day-to-day management of the store from traditional marketing, online marketing to maintaining the internal network and POS terminals, inventory control and employee training. I was in charge of creating marketing material in accordance with brand guidelines to the highest standards set by Apple and was at the the helm of the design, development and maintenance of the iClik website using the Joomla CMS. In addition I was charged with the implementation of an email marketing platform, subscription service and the design and delivery of HTML emails. iClik allowed me to put my enthusiasm for technology, projects, and ideas to work while monitoring customer experiences, leading training and development, and driving sales. My advanced knowledge of the Mac OS X operating system saw me as the go-to-person for technically challenging corporate and educational installations.
